Open events will be conducted for Open through E Grade, with Singles, Double and Mixed Doubles at all grades. Underage events will be conducted for Under 19, 17, 15 and 13’s, with Singles only (no Doubles or Mixed Doubles)

Medals will be awarded to winners of each grade, and no prize money will be awarded. 

Presentation for all events, including Badminton Tasmania awards, will be undertaken at the completion of all Open and Graded events on Sunday 13^th

Entries will be accepted in accordance with the current State/Territory Grading list, with the Referee reserving the right to re-grade any player.

For BH players, you must look for your name on our current grading list (current as at 28th July) linked here. This list is indicative and BH reserves the right to make any adjustments to a player’s division(s) they have entered prior to the tournament. If you are unsure, or would like your grading reviewed, please contact [email protected], and your query will be relayed to the Referee for tournament grading.

Open: feather shuttles (Victor Master 1) are the official Tournament shuttle, and all Open Age competition players are required to purchase an adequate number of shuttles for use during match play

Under Age: BH will supply all shuttles (Victor Master 3) for Underage events (under 17, under 15 & under 13)

Open: best of three sets to 21

Underage: best of three sets to 15

Note: this may be amended after entries close to enable adequate timing for completion of the Tournament

No player (Open or Under Age) is permitted to play more than four (4) events and in no more than two (2) grades. Junior/Underage events (Under 19, 17, 15 & under 13’s) are considered a grade.

Dependent on entries, events may be combined or cancelled. In these situations, we will advise you in advance and you can decide whether to enter the new combined event, or if you would prefer a refund.
