What is the Super Smash Program?
The Super Smash Program is the ultimate way for kids to develop their game and play badminton in a challenging, fun, teams and supportive environment. Depending on the junior player’s school grade they will be placed in either the Primary School Super Smash or the High School & College Super Smash.
The Primary School Super Smash will run from 10:30am to 12pm, and the High School & College Super Smash will run from 2pm to 4pm. Some exceptions may be made for primary players to play in the High School and College age group depending on their skill level.
The Term 2 program commences on Saturday 3rd May, which will be a compulsory grading day. On this day players will be assessed by the coaches and staff and placed in their relevant coaching and playing groups for the duration of the roster. This process will ensure players are receiving the most suitable coaching experience and therefore the best opportunity to develop and improve their skills. However, at the discretion of a coach, a player may be moved at a later date between groups if deemed necessary and beneficial for the player.
The program will be conducted on seven Saturdays from 10th May through 28th June, with no sessions on Saturday 17th May and Saturday 31st May due to other Badminton Hobart events).
It is a requirement of the Super Smash Program (not the junior coaching) that the participant is a member of BH. Please refer to our Membership page for further information regarding how to become a BH member.
